The Samara Regional Public Organisation of Disabled People with Multiple Sclerosis (SORS) represents the interests of 6000 residents of the Samara region (1600 patients and over 4500 relatives) who are affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Founded by a group of patients and enthusiastic doctors in 1996, the organisation is one of the oldest and most influential Russian centres in both the professional and public spheres in the fight against the socio-economic problems caused by MS.
SORS aims to improve the quality of life experienced by sufferers of MS and to allow them to reintegrate into society as fully-valued citizens.
