Chisapani-Nagarkot – Dhulikhel Trekking

ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH- This is what one will feel after making the trek of the trail through Chisapani-Nagarkot –Dhulikhel trekking route. The trekking starts from Sundarijal which is the base of the Shivapuri National Park. The trek passes through dense forests, villages and oak rhododendron forest. The trekking feels like that you are being accompanied by mind blowing view of Manasalu, Ganesh, Langtang, Gaurisankar and other Himalayan ranges.

The main attraction of this trekking trail is unadulterated natural environment and traditional villages accompanied by many of wild animals and birds. Penetrating through luring dense forests and quite jungle one reaches to Chisapani which being far from city provides you with relaxing environment and enables you to relax and watch tempting mountain ranges and sunrise.

Leaving behind Chisapani the trail leads to Nagarkot. Nagarkot being situated 32km east of capital city Kathmandu has an altitude of around 1800m from sea level. At Nagarkot, one can enjoy camping in the lap of the nature or relax themselves at the star hotel established there. In the morning, the trekker will be able to have the lifetime experience of viewing the tempting sunrise from the tower. The unique sunrise striking on the snowcapped mountain makes them shine like golden yellow will surely lure the spectator. Along with this sunrise, the trekker will also be able to view the breathtaking panoramic view of Himalayan ranges including Mount Everest, Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Jugal, Gaurishankar range, Dorjelakpa and many more from both of the places. The trail passes through the unspoiled old forests of oak, rhododendron and beech.

The trekker will have an opportunity to have close view on the wide variety of flora and faunas including different wild animals and birds. Penetrating through this wild forest one will strike to Newar dominated place Dhulikhel where the trekker can enjoy the hospitality of the friendly Newars and have close observation of the long preserved old arts and architecture of Newari culture. This trek is much suitable for the trekkers having less span of days and having less trekking experience.
