VIN’s President Bhupendra Ghimire was honored by the Siddhicharan Municipality Ward 1 on the 11th July 2021. VIN’s staff – Shailendra, Uttar, Manita, Susmita were also invited on the occasion.
Mayor Mohan Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality Prabin Kumar Koirala, ward President, Kedar Basnet and other speakers highly spoke about VIN President’s Bhupi’s role for the development of the area.
The speakers highly recognized the work done by VIN in the community. Since 2012 VIN has been running holistic development programs in Taluwa, Thulachhap and Bhadaure of Okhaldhunga.
VIN Launched WASH project and constructed toilets for over 1800 families; established 29 Early Childhood Development Centers; established hundreds of women’s groups and two women’s cooperatives, supported earthquake affected families by Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects. Still serving the community through NT Community Learning Center, women’s empowerment, children’s development, youth empowerment, public health, environment conservation and DRR programs. In the felicitation program, three different people of the social sector of different areas were honored. Ganga Ghimire was honored for her long service as female community health volunteer (FCHV). She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to the service of Taluwa community. Nirpa Dahal was honored for his dedicated service to electricity. He has been tirelessly working in the area as Nepal Electricity officer staff.
The Municipality recognized and appreciated Bhupi, Ganga and Nirpa with Khada, certificate, cash.
